When you import Canon EOS C300 Mark II 4K MXF to Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro CC for editing, you'll be disappointed since FCP X and Premiere doesn't natively support the new Canon XF-AVC codec. As far as I know, any videos you try to import to Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro need to be encoded with Apple ProRes/H.264 and wrapped up in MOV file container. Thus, to load Canon C300 Mark II MXF video files to FCP X and Premiere, there is a need to convert Canon EOS C300 Mark II footage to their compatible formats first.
As far as I know Final Cut Pro doesn't like H.264 in an MXF container. If you want to import Canon EOS C300 Mark II recordings to FCP X flawlessly, I recommend you to convert Canon 4K/2K/1080p MXF to a more editable format for Final Cut Pro X. For Adobe Premiere Pro CC/CS users, convert EOS C300 Mark II MXF to H.264 MOV is your needs. Actually, there are many MXF Converter on market, but a few of them can support converting videos with fast conversion speed and zero quality loss.
